The Nuby Sleep By Me is a bedside crib with a separate stand-alone mode. This guide is based on the manufacturer’s instructions, not a hands-on test. Check the name and model on your crib against the Nuby Sleep By Me instruction manual before using it.
What the manual establishes
- The stated range is birth to six months, with a maximum child weight of 9 kg. Development also matters: use must end when the child can sit, kneel or pull themselves up, even if younger or lighter.
- In stand-alone mode the side panel must be closed, and the rocking mechanism must be fixed when the baby is unsupervised.
- The supplied attachment system is required for bedside use. Missing or damaged parts need the manufacturer’s attention; makeshift replacements are not appropriate.
Will it fit your bed?
The manual specifies a minimum adult-bed height, including its mattress, of 52 cm. That figure alone does not confirm compatibility: the frame, mattress edge and attachment arrangement must also satisfy the illustrated instructions. An overhanging frame can leave a gap. Do not fill a gap with bedding.
Reflux is not a reason to tilt the sleep surface
Older promotional material describes an incline function. For sleep, follow the NHS reflux guidance: place your baby flat on their back and do not raise the head of the cot. Ask a health visitor or GP about troublesome reflux.
Before buying a used or remaining-stock example
Obtain the exact manual, confirm that all original fittings are present, and ask the seller to identify the mattress supplied. We have not verified a current offer or tested the lights, sounds, rocking mechanism or ease of assembly, so we do not attach an experience score or a current-price claim.
