ClevaMama ClevaFoam baby cushion: infant-sleep guidance

Why this site does not recommend a ClevaFoam pillow or cushion for infant sleep, despite head-shape marketing claims.

Research checked 2026-09-26. We have not carried out hands-on testing of this product.

We do not recommend this baby cushion or pillow for infant sleep and provide no purchase link. The older article’s promotion of flat-head prevention has been withdrawn.

ClevaFoam is a product family

ClevaMama’s pillow collection distinguishes baby, infant, pram, toddler and junior products. The old “baby cushion” wording does not establish a particular current SKU. A similar material name is not a reason to transfer age, size or use claims between these products.

What the marketing does—and does not—establish

The manufacturer’s Baby Pillow page makes pressure-distribution and head-shape claims. We have not independently established clinical benefit for the particular item previously linked here. A laboratory material claim or a breathable cover does not, by itself, establish suitability for infant sleep.

The Lullaby Trust advises against pillows for babies under 12 months. Its sleep guidance is the basis for this site’s decision not to promote the product for that use.

Concerns about head shape

The NHS recommends continuing back sleeping. It suggests supervised tummy time while awake and varying carrying and feeding positions. Ask a GP about worrying changes or difficulty turning the head rather than buying a pillow as a treatment.

This page is for readers identifying the old listing. It is not a clinical review, and it does not imply that every product using the ClevaFoam name has the same intended use.
